The OEC Soft Skills Training 2025 is by the Government of Pakistan. It helps Pakistanis learn the skills that jobs need today. Applicants can study online, pass a small test and download a digital certificate.

What you need before you start
You need only a few things to make an account on the official portal.

Step by step: prepare each document right
1) CNIC
- Check the number on the card.
- Make sure the card is not expired.
- Type the number slowly.
- Do not add spaces.
- If upload is asked later, take front and back clear photos on a table with light.
2) Mobile number
- Put a number that you use.
- Keep the phone near you when you register.
- If no code arrives, wait one minute. Then tap resend.
- Turn off Do Not Disturb if you use it.
3) Email
- Use Gmail or any active email.
- Log in once before you start.
- Check Spam if you do not see the mail.

How to use the documents on the portal
- Open the official website → softskills.oec.gov.pk. Tap Register.
- Fill your name and date of birth as on CNIC.
- Enter CNIC, mobile number, email.
- Set a password that you can remember.
- Verify with SMS or email code.
- Now login with CNIC and password.
- Enroll in the course.
- Study lessons.
- Pass the small test.
- Download your digital certificate. It has a code and can be checked online.

- Phone: use local format first. If it fails, try with +92.

Problem: OTP not received
Fix: Check mobile signal. Wait one minute. Tap resend. Check if your number is correct.
Problem: Wrong CNIC
Fix: Check digits again. Use the CNIC on the card. Do not swap 0 and O.
Problem: Email not working
Fix: Try logging into email first in a new tab. Check Spam. Add the portal to safe senders.
Problem: Forgot password
Fix: Tap Forgot Password on the login page. Follow steps.
Problem: Name does not match
Fix: Use the same spellings as CNIC. If CNIC has old spellings then follow that here too.
Special cases
If you live outside Pakistan
- Use NICOP if you have one.
- Use a mobile number that can receive SMS.
- If your Pakistani SIM does not work, use a number you can access for OTP.
- Email must be active because you will need it later too.
If your CNIC is expired
- Renew first Then apply.
- Keep a reminder to update the portal later if you renew during the course.
If you have no email
- Make a new email which takes five minutes.
- Write the password on paper.
- Do not share it with others.
Privacy and safety tips
- Use only the official OEC site or the official app. Do not give CNIC to random pages.
- Do not post your CNIC on public groups.
- Keep your certificate file safe because it has a verification code. Employers can scan or check it online.

- You pass the test.
- You get a digital certificate.
- The certificate can be checked online. It shows your name, date and unique ID.
